Position: Infrastructure Service Management Technician

Location: New York (Day 1 onsite)

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

As an Infrastructure Service Management Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively monitoring the ticket queue and managing requests to completion.
  • Conducting housekeeping in IT rooms.
  • Assisting with events such as annual power downs and post desk checkouts (PCs, monitors, mice, keyboards, desk phones, headsets, webcams).
  • Supporting hardware decommissioning activities.
  • Facilitating business moves and changes, ensuring early involvement in planning stages.
  • Managing escalations to resolution.
  • Setting and managing client expectations.
  • Overseeing the setup and installation of temporary training rooms and office-wide events.
  • Performing comms room patching.
  • Assisting with work-from-home hardware requests.
  • Ensuring adherence to policies and guidelines regarding overtime and expenses, while following local cost control guidelines.
  • Managing your workload to ensure completion of assigned activities within defined SLA/OLA targets.
  • Exhibiting high levels of customer care and consistently demonstrating a commitment to providing quality service.
  • Collaborating across service lines to ensure a coordinated approach to customer support.
  • Actively participating in a Continuous Service Improvement program, taking ownership of actions that yield results.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting, system upgrades, and replacements for employees.
  • Deploying equipment for new hires and refreshes, and collecting equipment from offboarded employees.
  • Evaluating user requests and requirements, recommending effective technological solutions.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Being available to work outside business hours and participate in additional weekend work as needed.
  • Imaging/re-imaging computers, configuring IP phones, and mobile devices.
