As a Cloud Infrastructure Support Technician within our Network Operations Center (NOC), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational excellence of Cox Communications' clients and internal teams by delivering exceptional Tier 1 support.

Your duties will encompass coordinating and overseeing infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms. You will also be responsible for managing our call center queue and break/fix ticket queues daily to guarantee that client needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.

This position is ideal for an entry-level cloud technologist eager to embark on a career in Engineering.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 1 support for both internal and external clients.
  • Coordinate infrastructure patching requirements for clients.
  • Analyze and assign incoming tickets in our ticketing system.
  • Monitor client infrastructure to prevent downtime and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Utilize AlertLogic, our third-party monitoring tool, to identify vulnerabilities within client AWS/Azure/Google Cloud environments.
  • Employ Jira Service Desk to create, track, and update tickets for clients.
  • Assist internal users with system and troubleshooting issues as part of IT support.
  • Support the Service Delivery Group in gathering information for client reports.
  • Create technical documentation and drive improvements in operational processes.
  • Compile server utilization reports to assist clients with capacity planning.
  • Work with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform to implement changes to client infrastructure.
  • Complete online training courses on relevant technologies utilized within our organization.
  • Leverage automation tools (Tanium, ASGs, Azure automation accounts) to perform maintenance tasks in a sustainable and repeatable manner.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Foundational Cloud Certification in any of the following service providers: Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server Administration.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and strong written/verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about a wide range of technology platforms and data network systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a technological field; internships or school IT departments are considered.
  • Interest in emerging technologies and a passion for cloud computing.

Compensation:

The hourly base pay rate is $46.06/hour. This rate may vary based on factors such as the position's location and the selected candidate's qualifications.

Additional compensation may be available, including commission and/or incentive programs.



Benefits:

Employees are eligible for a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off each month, along with seven paid holidays throughout the year. Additional paid time off may be available for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteering, military service, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination.
