Position: Infrastructure Service Management Technician

Location: New York (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor the ticket queue and manage requests to resolution.
  • Conduct housekeeping in IT rooms.
  • Assist with events such as annual power downs, including post desk checkouts (PCs, monitors, keyboards, desk phones, headsets, webcams).
  • Support hardware decommissioning initiatives.
  • Facilitate business relocations and changes, ensuring early involvement in planning stages.
  • Manage escalations to resolution.
  • Set and manage client expectations.
  • Setup and installation of temporary training rooms and office-wide events.
  • Perform comms room patching.
  • Assist with work-from-home hardware requests.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and guidelines regarding overtime and expenses, maintaining local cost control standards.
  • Manage personal workload to ensure completion of assigned activities within defined SLA/OLA targets.
  • Exhibit high levels of customer care at all times, demonstrating a commitment to delivering quality service.
  • Collaborate across service lines to provide coordinated support for customers.
  • Actively engage in Continuous Service Improvement initiatives, taking ownership of actions that yield results.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting, system upgrades, and replacements for employees.
  • Deploy equipment for new hires and refreshes, and collect equipment from offboarded employees.
  • Evaluate user requests and requirements, recommending effective technological solutions.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Be available to work outside of business hours and participate in additional weekend work as needed.
  • Image/re-image computers, configure IP phones, and mobile devices.
