Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, often with a focus in health sciences or a related field.
  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, which usually results in a master's degree.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Successful completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician Assistant from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
