Position Summary

Senior Consultants come with a wide variety of experience utilizing their technical expertise to lead clients through implementation, optimization, and enhancements of their Epic system. They partner with healthcare professionals, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective use of the Epic system, enhance clinical and administrative workflows, and improve patient care outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project implementations of the Epic system, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and clinical workflows.
  • Customize and configure individual Epic modules to meet specific requirements of different departments.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality and data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and enhancement to improve efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and training.
  • Design and deliver training programs for healthcare providers and staff on the use of the Epic EHR System.
  • Create user guides, manuals, and other educational resources to support learning and adoption.
  • Coordinate and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables during implementation and optimization projects.
  • Work closely with project leadership, including documentation and facilitation.
  • Work directly with Epic end-users, monitoring workflows, providing documentation, and optimization suggestions.
Requirements
  • Possess at least one Epic certification.
  • Previous experience implementing Epic, build experience highly desirable.
  • Full life cycle project implementation experience in Cadence, Prelude, Grand Central, Referrals, Care Everywhere, HIM, Welcome, or Kiosk.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience using Epic modules with extensive knowledge of its products and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Epic system configuration and support.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant healthcare industry experience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, PMP a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel weekly (typically Monday through Thursday) when necessary, however, at times you are required to provide high-level services remotely.
  • Current permanent U.S. Work authorization required.
Preferred Experience
  • Undergraduate Degree (e.g. BA, BS)
  • Previous consulting experience

The estimated base hourly rate for Epic Senior Consultants varies based on experience, project engagement, and client expectations. The actual rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This position is eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
