Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity Systems Officer provides essential support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining the necessary operational Information Assurance (IA) posture for various systems, programs, or enclaves.

This role involves:

  • Assisting in upholding the operational security posture for information systems or programs.
  • Providing comprehensive support to the government regarding all security-related matters pertaining to the information system.
  • Managing security operations on a daily basis and overseeing the security aspects of the information system.
  • Contributing to the formulation of system security policies and ensuring routine compliance.
  • Developing and revising the system security plan while managing changes and assessing their security implications.
  • Supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of IT security programs and policies.
  • Conducting configuration management for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a B.S. in a related field along with 10 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering may substitute for four years of experience, subject to the discretion of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

Additionally, compliance with DoD 8570 at Level III Information Assurance Technology is required.
