Structural Forensic Engineer - Expertise in Investigative Analysis Required

Are you prepared to leverage your engineering skills in the intriguing realm of forensic investigations? LVI Associates is in search of a committed Structural Forensic Engineer to join our innovative team.

This is a remarkable opportunity that combines analytical capabilities with on-site evaluation expertise within the structural engineering domain.

As a Structural Forensic Engineer, you will engage in first response property loss investigations for clients within the insurance industry.

Your role will involve identifying the cause and origin of structural failures across both residential and commercial properties, while conducting investigations and damage assessments for disasters such as storm damage, hurricanes, and floods.


Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive forensic analyses to ascertain the cause and origin of various structural failures.
- Perform safety evaluations following catastrophic events, concentrating on structures impacted by storm damage or other disasters.
- Execute thorough inspections utilizing expertise in both fieldwork and research-based settings.
- Provide detailed, signed, and sealed reports outlining the cause and origin of damage to clients.
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely execution within budget constraints.
- Maintain direct communication with clients regarding project progress.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
- PE Licensed in Georgia (multiple state licenses preferred).
- Proficient in applying structural engineering principles during investigative processes.
- Emphasize safety practices while conducting site surveys, especially in unstable conditions post-catastrophe.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with field inspection expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experienced in structural design, analysis, and inspections.
- IIBEC credentials are preferred.
