Position Overview:

Robert and Company is seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer to become a vital part of our engineering team. This role is based in our Atlanta, GA office, where we deliver comprehensive architectural and engineering services across various sectors including municipal, military, corporate, and aviation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Fire Protection, Planning, and Landscaping CAD professionals to provide design consulting and project management.
  • Engage in structural design and detailing for a variety of building types, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Manage structural projects with a high degree of independence, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
  • Travel may be required for project-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering within a consulting environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Georgia or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Proficient in engineering software including AutoCAD, Bentley STAAD Pro, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with structural materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Familiarity with codes and standards such as IBS, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in API 653 and 570.
  • Experience with Micro Station and DOD Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS).
