Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct overall building condition assessments to identify defects and damages
  • Bifurcate various types of damages, including causation of storm, fire, flood, seismic, and construction defects
  • Develop scopes of repairs and review estimates for repair using Xactimate
  • Manage multiple jobs simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Collaborate with team members to review and analyze repair cost estimates
  • Provide expert testimony in court, including giving depositions and trial testimony
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, communicating effectively and professionally
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in building inspections, forensic analysis, and expert testimony
  • Strong technical report writing and editing skills
  • Working knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Ability to work independently in remote environments and collaboratively with team members
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work safely and efficiently in various environments
  • Good driving record and willingness to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4-year degree or comparable experience
  • Continuing education classes related to building inspections, building failures, and building codes
  • OSHA training
  • Familiarity with Xactimate and Intent-Based Leadership process
