Job Overview

We are looking for a proficient Industrial Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our projects, focusing on the design and enhancement of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, along with substantial experience in crafting intricate mechanical assemblies for industrial use.

Primary Duties:

  • Design & Engineering: Develop comprehensive 3D models and 2D schematics of mechanical components and systems utilizing SolidWorks. Innovate and implement effective design strategies that align with project requirements and industry benchmarks.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including product developers, manufacturing specialists, and quality control, to create new products and refine existing designs. Ensure designs are tailored for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and optimal performance.
  • Prototype Management: Oversee the prototyping phase, which includes material selection, prototype creation, and testing to confirm design integrity. Engage with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee prototypes fulfill design and operational criteria.
  • Documentation: Generate and sustain thorough technical documentation, encompassing design specifications, assembly guidelines, and bills of materials (BOM). Ensure all documentation remains precise and current.
  • Issue Resolution: Detect and address design-related challenges throughout the development and production stages. Conduct root cause analysis and apply corrective measures to rectify any design defects or manufacturing obstacles.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside manufacturing teams to facilitate a smooth transition from design to production. Provide technical assistance during the manufacturing phase and help troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may occur.
  • Ongoing Development: Keep abreast of industry advancements, best practices, and new technologies. Actively seek ways to enhance design methodologies, tools, and processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, particularly in industrial components and systems.
  • Expertise in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assembly, and simulation capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
