Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Journeymen Chiller Mechanic to join our team at Johnson Controls International. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial, industrial, and institutional markets, with expertise in maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and rebuilds of medium-large tonnage chillers of all brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and service requests for assigned primary service accounts.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact, servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • Utilize cutting-edge software and technology, as well as a variety of hand tools and rigging equipment, to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Enforce safety standards to the highest level and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.
  • Work as part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of service to all customers, which may require flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, as we are a 24/7 service company.
Qualifications
  • Requires Mechanical Journeyman status.
  • Valid EPA certification.
  • Commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand-held computers (e.g., smartphones, iPads).
  • Adherence to company safety programs.
  • Valid driver's license, appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants, boiler, and steam operational and service knowledge.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be on call nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
