Job Overview

Officina at The Wharf is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in maintaining the highest standards of service and operations in our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery: Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Management: Supervise and motivate a team of staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to deliver high-quality service.
  • Operations: Assist the General Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant, including managing inventory, scheduling, and staff training.
  • Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with our customers to ensure that they feel valued and appreciated.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during service, ensuring that the customer experience is not compromised.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or a management position in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the restaurant industry, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and staff training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: A degree in hospitality or a related field is desirable.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as food safety or customer service, are an asset.
