Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market dynamics and identify competitive advantages to drive growth.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership to establish pricing frameworks, contract stipulations, and risk management strategies.
  • Design and implement a sales architecture that aligns with the organization's objectives.
  • Supervise product sales, procurement, and trading functions, ensuring effective execution and risk control.
  • Authorize trades that exceed designated limits.
  • Evaluate methodologies utilized in asset valuation.
  • Assist various teams in managing trading risks.
  • Examine supply and demand elements impacting trades and valuations.
  • Formulate strategies to ensure compliance with corporate regulations.
  • Execute trades in accordance with trading portfolio goals.
  • Identify and address gaps in commodity classes within the portfolio.
  • Devise strategies to safeguard the organization's trading positions.
  • Establish targeted trading partnerships.
  • Gain insights into market landscapes, including product knowledge, industry challenges, and regulatory changes.
  • Implement risk management protocols to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and suppliers.
  • Discover and cultivate new trading opportunities and supply channels.
  • Identify prospective business opportunities and negotiate contracts.
  • Comprehend and apply relevant trade policies and regulations.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding pricing adjustments and closing values.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to broaden market presence and explore new products.
  • Develop a compensation and bonus framework for the sales team to incentivize profitability and growth while adhering to risk parameters.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Agriculture, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Over 9 years of pertinent experience in trading, with a robust background in the agricultural sector.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management abilities and capacity to thrive under pressure with competing priorities. A proactive, self-starting individual with a strong sense of ownership and excellent communication and negotiation skills is essential.
  • Must be accessible outside of standard business hours for urgent matters.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. is required.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $190,000 to $225,000, complemented by a substantial bonus and comprehensive benefits.
