Power Generation Reliability Asset Management Engineer

CPS Energy is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Asset Management Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and economic operation of our generation, electric transmission, and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Engineering Support: Provide technical support to maintenance and production departments to resolve problems and execute programs/projects to reduce downtime, improve processes, and lower operating costs.
- Reliability Asset Management: Apply Reliability Asset Management methods and predictive/preventive maintenance programs to design, construct, maintain, and operate generation plants.
- System Monitoring and Response: Continuously monitor and balance energy flow, respond to system disturbances, and perform generation, distribution, and transmission activities to provide electric and gas services to customers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
- Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Package, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited university, working knowledge of power plant systems, and certifications such as CMRP or CRE.
This role requires the ability to work in an office environment and outdoors, with manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Travel to business-related events may be required.
