Job Title: Tribal Relations and Permitting Manager

Job Summary:

Commnet Broadband is seeking a highly skilled Tribal Relations and Permitting Manager to join our team. As a key liaison and strategic advisor, you will be responsible for monitoring regulatory changes, advocating for the company's interests, and nurturing relationships with key government officials, including Tribal leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze Tribal, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Tribal leaders, government officials, and other stakeholders to promote the company's interests and objectives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of regulatory compliance strategies and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on Tribal and regulatory matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination on regulatory and Tribal matters.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Tribal relations, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Tribal processes and relations, regulatory issues, and legislative processes.
  • Deep knowledge of Tribal culture and familiarity with the Tribes' governmental structure.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting Tribal regulations, rules, and legislative provisions relevant to telecommunications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Business or Public Administration, or a related field, with relevant experience in telecommunications in a regulatory environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred, with fluency in both English and Navajo and/or other Tribal languages.
