Job Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator will assist with routine and repetitive patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role involves performing specific clerical, organizational, and patient-focused tasks that support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients as required
  • Complete pertinent documents and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare rooms for admission by setting up IV poles and adjusting beds to the appropriate level
  • Safely transport stable patients as needed and maintain security/confidentiality when interacting with family and visitors
  • Clean, procure, and return equipment and supplies as necessary
  • Run errands for the unit as required and assist licensed personnel in providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients
  • Maintain organized and orderly fashion of unit supplies and respond appropriately to emergencies
  • Communicate effectively with other team members during and between shifts and respond to phone calls and patient call lights
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient served
  • Demonstrate competence in performing assigned patient care responsibilities

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred
  • CNA License in the state of employment is required, as well as BLS certification

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
