Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Operations Specialist, your primary duties will include:
  • Processing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.
  • Reviewing and validating invoices and payment requests, and executing check runs.
  • Managing vendor relationships, addressing any discrepancies in invoices, and ensuring prompt payments.
  • Analyzing lease agreements to ensure all financial elements are accurately documented.
  • Preparing annual 1099 forms for vendors while ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.
  • Assisting in month-end closing activities and generating financial reports as necessary.
  • Participating in financial audits and applying audit recommendations.
  • Maintaining organized and current filing systems for all financial documentation.
  • Collaborating with various departments to enhance financial processes and efficiency.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Financial Operations Specialist role will possess the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial operations role.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and financial principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyze lease agreements.
  • Experience in preparing 1099 forms and familiarity with related IRS regulations.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
