Position Overview:

The Controls Technician plays a vital role in supporting the Project Manager and Technical Supervisor in the effective implementation of air conditioning control systems. This position emphasizes building strong client relationships, ensuring project profitability, and fostering individual career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Project Manager and Technical Supervisor.
  • Review and comprehend engineered shop drawings.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical piping layouts.
  • Conduct thorough "Point to Point" checkouts.
  • Maintain precise daily reporting.
  • Adjust graphics as necessary.
  • Access programs from the library.
  • Systems involved include:
    • Terminal Air Units
    • Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
    • Packaged Units & Split Systems
    • Split Systems
    • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
    • Basic Hydronic Systems
  • Provide support to lead technicians.
  • Troubleshoot communication trunks.
  • Diagnose low voltage control circuits.
  • Modify programming to align with project specifications.
  • Execute loop tuning.
  • Create and update graphics.
  • Facilitate basic integration with third-party systems.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers.
  • Coordinate and supervise installations.
  • Participate in job meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain and track field as-built documentation.
  • Conduct customer training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Air Conditioning Control Systems.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
