Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, cost, and ergonomic risk to assemblers
  • Design, control, and improve manufacturing processes and systems through collaboration with the value stream team
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and design to implement robust processes for continuous improvement
  • Make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials to support renewed manufacturing capability
  • Review and validate recommendations regarding manufacturability of existing and future products and advise modifications or adaptations to address quality, customer, product, or productivity constraints
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD security clearance
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools and/or simulation tools
  • Experience with semi-automated and manual ribbon bonders
  • Experience with designing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated tooling and machinery
  • Experience with military and industry standards
