Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, costs, and ergonomic risks in the manufacturing environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust processes for continuous improvement.
  • Recommend the acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials to support manufacturing capability.
  • Review and validate recommendations regarding manufacturability of existing and future products.
  • Support the integration and sustainment of automated systems for manufacturing.
  • Implement proactive equipment failure management systems.
  • Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence of issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools and/or simulation tools.
  • Experience with semi-automated and manual ribbon bonders.
  • Experience with designing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated tooling and machinery.
  • Experience with military and industry standards.
  • Conducting safety/ergonomic assessments.
  • Familiarity with standard material handling practices.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with an ability to work in a team environment.
