At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Project Engineer III, you'll play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of avionics systems for our reusable rockets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage project scope, assumptions, and constraints
- Manage project budgets and schedules
- Lead hardware and systems scrum meetings using Jira
- Track and report performance to plan
- Identify and resolve or escalate blockers to team performance
- Generate metrics, presentations, and other artifacts to provide status and planning data to stakeholders
- Clearly and concisely present information on current and upcoming projects to senior leaders
- Perform risk identification and management
- Lead the baseline change process
- B.S. degree or higher in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or related field
- 5+ years experience as either a technical contributor or project engineer/technical project manager developing and testing real-time embedded systems for safety-critical applications
- Experience with avionics development standards such as ARP4754A, DO-254, DO-160 or similar
- Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skills
- Extensive experience using Jama on an Agile development team
- Extensive experience using scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project
- Ability to learn fast, multitask, and drive tasks to completion
- Ability to present programmatic and technical concepts to peers and leadership
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
