Job Title: Avionics Software Project Engineer III

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Avionics Software Project Engineer III, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing real-time embedded software for our rocket engines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project scope, assumptions, and constraints
  • Collaborate with programmatic and technical stakeholders to define project requirements
  • Lead software and systems scrum meetings using Jira as a work tracking tool
  • Track and report performance to plan, addressing deviations through bi-weekly project management meetings
  • Identify and resolve or escalate blockers to team performance
  • Generate metrics, presentations, and other artifacts to provide status and planning data to stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree or higher in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or related field
  • 5+ years experience as a technical contributor or project engineer/technical project manager developing and testing real-time embedded systems for safety-critical applications
  • Experience with avionics development standards such as ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-330 or similar
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skills
  • Extensive experience using Jama on an Agile development team
  • Extensive experience using scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project
