Job Summary:

The Compact Equipment Sales Representative (CESR) is responsible for driving business growth and maintaining strong relationships with compact equipment customers within assigned sales territories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain a robust customer base for compact equipment sales, identifying new opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
  • Sales Promotion: Promote the sales of compact equipment lines and customer support programs, ensuring customers are kept informed about manufacturer's information and product updates.
  • Profit Management: Maintain targeted company profit levels on sales, continuously monitoring and adjusting sales strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Customer Support: Ensure customers receive high-quality product and service knowledge, taking proactive steps to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and report competitive market data, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Customer Visits: Regularly visit customer facilities and job sites to assess current and future equipment needs, building strong relationships and identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Sales Territory Development: Continuously develop and expand assigned sales territories, increasing customer base and driving business growth.
  • Training and Development: Attend sales training to stay up-to-date on compact equipment products and services, ensuring expertise and knowledge to drive sales success.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and the company.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field highly desired.
  • Experience: 2+ years of successful sales experience in compact equipment or related equipment required.
  • Skills: Valid driver's license, ability to load, secure, and haul compact equipment, high proficiency in customer relationship skills, knowledge of compact equipment applications, discretion in handling confidential company information, positive personality, team player, problem solver, self-starter, outstanding integrity, superior communicator.
  • Travel: Able to travel overnight for product training or company-related business (
