Job Summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor to oversee our substance abuse counseling team in Durham, NC. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising counselors and counselor interns, ensuring timely documentation of patient services, and managing related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Mentor Counselors: Provide guidance and support to counselors and counselor interns to ensure they are providing high-quality treatment services to patients.
  • Ensure Timely Documentation: Oversee the timely documentation of patient services, including plans of care, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage Expenditures: Manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner, in accordance with the company's budget.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all company and funding expectations, and participate in quality assurance file reviews and peer audits.
  • Travel and Other Duties: Travel as necessary, and perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Must be fully licensed through the State Board in North Carolina, preferably as a LCAS. Preferred that candidate possess the certification of CSS or CSI.
  • Supervision Experience: Candidate should have supervision experience with Associate Level counselors and be able to supervise counselors on developing and updating ASI, PCPs, Crisis Plans, etc.
  • Tracking and Quality Assurance: Candidate should have tracking skills using spreadsheets (Excel, pivot tables, etc.) and knowledge of quality assurance file reviews and peer audits, including requirements for CARF.
  • Authorization Experience: Prefer that candidate is credentialed with Alliance and Cardinal MCOs and have authorization experience with MCOs.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Candidate should possess patience, empathy towards patients, and ability to communicate in a positive manner with both staff and patients.
  • Criminal Background Check: Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
