Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Homewood Suites Odessa. As a key member of our hotel staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing the administrative processes of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive and courteous service to all guests, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
  • Manage the telephone switchboard and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with fellow associates and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
  • Document all guest requests, complaints, or problems, and notify designated departments for resolution.
  • Follow up to ensure completion and guest satisfaction.
  • Be knowledgeable of hotel rates, packages, and special promotions, and take necessary information when taking room reservations.
  • Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages, and share knowledge of the property and amenities with guests.
  • Accurately complete the check-in and checkout process, and use creative reasoning to overcome guest objections and concerns.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  • Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to obtain alcohol awareness certification as required by the State.
  • Willingness to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
