GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The primary role of the Product Photography and Studio Support Specialist involves collaborating with the Studio Manager and A/V Studio Decorator to assist in the arrangement of furniture and accessories for photographic and video sessions. This position also entails ensuring that all products delivered to the studio are photographed against a white backdrop promptly. Additional tasks include organizing and uploading images to servers, managing completed product images on the designated platform, tracking progress of white background photography, and performing minor edits on lifestyle images (such as cropping, watermarking, and resizing).

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • Safely transport furniture and rugs between the showroom and studio for photo and video sessions.
  • Collaborate with the A/V Studio Decorator to arrange furniture for shoots.
  • Ensure each furniture piece is functional, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Document all product SKUs from each session in the studio schedule.
  • Scan all furniture and accessories into the appropriate locations during and after the shoot.
  • Move new furniture from the staging area to the 360-degree turntable for white background photography.
  • Ensure that the furniture on the turntable is well-presented.
  • Conduct quality control checks on completed 360-degree photography.
  • Upload product images to the FTP server and manage the transfer of completed images to the designated platform.
  • Perform quality checks on finished product images.
  • Upload completed lifestyle photography to the website, including watermarking and resizing as needed.
  • Edit and touch up lifestyle photography when necessary.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom is preferred. A valid driver's license is required, with no more than two traffic violations or one chargeable accident in the past three years. General photography and camera skills are essential. Excellent communication skills are necessary, with the ability to convey information visually, verbally, and in writing, while meeting tight deadlines.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To effectively perform the essential functions of this role, an employee must be capable of performing the following: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, listening, and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.

Work Environment: Indoor climate-controlled environment with some outdoor tasks required.
