Production Operations Specialist

As a Production Operations Specialist, you will be accountable for operating and controlling process units and all components in a safe, efficient, and environmentally acceptable manner, both in the field and from the control station.
You will be part of a team responsible for safely operating production units in full compliance with safety, reliability, quality assurance, environmental and government programs, and daily customer requirements.
You will make and implement operational decisions meeting customer requirements based on full awareness of viability, safety, cost, and other benefits.
You will be results-oriented with good interpersonal, computer, and team-based skills, and can demonstrate understanding and use of P&I diagrams, written procedures and policies, and problem solving in your daily work.
You should exhibit safety leadership in all aspects of your job.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of SSOP's
- Shift coverage on an as needed basis - including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Work a rotating 12-hour schedule and take periods of on-call responsibility
- Assist in developing, planning & executing planned TAR's
- Complete daily work lists as assigned by supervision
- Responsible for Facility housekeeping (hoses rolled up, labeling of process, overall cleanliness, etc.)
- Comply with waste management and other environmental regulations
- Assist in the completion of Work Orders to ensure compliance at all times
- Assists in the completion of PSM compliance activities
- Maintain training compliance
- Assist with and perform routine maintenance tasks
You must be willing to work from elevated platforms, climb ladders, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work both inside and outside in various conditions for extended periods of time.

Plant Operations:
You will continuously monitor and proactively check the operation for efficiency and strive to anticipate problems before they occur.
You will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of work requests, work permits and equipment isolation; following each work project through completion to ensure safe return to normal operation; and providing front-line communications to customers and facility management on product and process conditions.
You will operate units to continuously supply products in quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements.
You will be accountable for adherence to all Corporate and Plant Policies
You will maximize reliability to avoid unscheduled shutdowns resulting in interruption of supply to customers.
You will keep and maintain all necessary production logs and records.
You will generate reports as required.
You will use professional judgment for operating the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times.
You will be accountable for use of SOP's to start and stop major equipment and processes to prevent unnecessary process delays and maintain operational consistency/reliability
You will continuously review and comment on SOP's in order to provide guidance in procedural updates
You will be expected to make process decisions within specified boundaries established by plant supervision.
You will be accountable for reviews and follow-up & corrections of Safe Work Permits and Confined Space permits
You will communicate all deviations/incidents and questions to plant supervision in a timely manner
You will maintain the highest degree of personal safety and environmental accountability at all times.
You will be responsible for complying with management of change requirements
You will be responsible for attending and participating in monthly safety meetings
You will actively participate in behavioral based safety programs
You will report all incidents, deviations, and near misses to site supervision when they occur.
You will wear appropriate PPE at all times
You will be accountable for issuing, monitoring and closeout of Safe Work Permits and Confined Space permits
You will adhere to LOTO policy
You will strictly adhere to all safety and environmental policies and SOP's
You will instruct on-site Contract personnel on safety rules and regulations and maintain frequent surveillance to assure their compliance at all times.
You will conduct daily plant safety inspections to identify and correct plant and equipment hazards.
You must adhere to all security requirements and policies
You must be knowledgeable and practiced in all Emergency Procedures.
