As a Pest Control Technician, your primary responsibility will be to engage with various clients in the hospitality sector and other commercial enterprises. By delivering exceptional services and identifying effective solutions to pest challenges, you will assist our clients in safeguarding their reputation and enhancing their operational success. Our comprehensive PAID TRAINING program spans 5 weeks, equipping you with the necessary tools and resources to excel in your role, even if you have no prior experience. Once you establish a routine, this position provides flexible scheduling and autonomy over the customer accounts you manage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with diverse clients, collaborating on best practices to address pest control needs.
  • Stay informed about Ecolab's product and service offerings, as well as industry trends, to improve service delivery and sales of pest prevention and elimination solutions.
  • Utilize handheld computerized devices to manage service operations and document structural, sanitation, and pest-related issues.

Position Overview:

  • This role is field-based and may involve travel within surrounding areas.
  • Work schedule: Day Shift; Monday to Friday (8am-5pm).

During the training program, you will be required to travel to Ecolab's Corporate Headquarters for one week. Travel typically occurs during the third week, with the remaining weeks dedicated to in-field training. Ecolab will cover travel expenses and related costs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of work or military experience.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts as needed.
  • Willingness to be on call during off-hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing as mandated by state/local regulations.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the work.
  • Background checks and drug screenings will be conducted for all candidates receiving a job offer.
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of wearing a respirator.
  • Position involves lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds at chest height.
  • Work may occur in various conditions, including confined spaces, damp or dusty environments, and extreme temperatures.
  • Essential duties include lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands and fingers, balancing, walking, standing, talking, and hearing.
  • Driving a company vehicle is required to perform job duties (pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be conducted).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service.
  • Ability to sell value-added products to existing clients.
  • Experience in the pest elimination industry or route management is preferred.

Compensation Structure:

This position offers an hourly rate of $20.09 and is eligible for overtime. The compensation range is based on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Ecolab anticipates paying within the posted range, considering various factors such as education, training, experience, work location, and travel requirements.
