Impact of Your Role:
As a mobile sonography specialist at DispatchHealth Management, you will:
Utilize a company vehicle outfitted with advanced sonography technology to travel to various facilities and conduct ultrasound examinations for patients across all age groups.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
- Travel to diverse service locations, including private homes, nursing facilities, senior living communities, correctional institutions, and other healthcare settings to deliver high-quality ultrasound services.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Exhibit proficiency in performing portable ultrasound studies following established protocols and standards.
- Implement safe work practices, including safe driving, infection control measures, and proper handling of ultrasound equipment.
- Conduct sonographic assessments as prescribed by referring physicians.
- Prepare preliminary worksheets post-examination and relay findings to radiologists.
- Maintain accurate records, visit logs, and reports in compliance with standard protocols.
- Upload necessary documentation into company systems according to established guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of ultrasound equipment and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
- Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained and stocked with essential supplies.
- Comply with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in orienting new staff and training students when requested.
Qualifications Required:
- To qualify as a mobile sonography specialist, candidates must meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, certification, and licensure, including one or more of the following:
- Graduation from an accredited Sonography program.
- Certification in medical sonography by recognized organizations such as ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI.
- Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentials through ARDMS.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to navigate multiple flights of stairs while carrying equipment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
