POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting Management to cultivate a customer and product-oriented sales environment, ensuring our core values and guiding principles are integrated into all store activities. This position is pivotal in delivering an outstanding customer experience while maximizing profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Performance:
  • Achieve company sales targets by employing effective sales strategies and sharing product knowledge with customers; assist in selecting merchandise or locating items based on customer preferences.
  • Stay informed about ongoing sales promotions and uphold pricing and visual merchandising standards.
  • Ensure adherence to merchandise handling and presentation standards, loss prevention protocols, and other tasks as assigned by Management.
  • Engage in visual merchandising initiatives, including monthly store setups and maintaining designated areas.

Customer Engagement:
  • Exemplify and advocate for the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Promptly address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Facilitate a quick and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about payment policies, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, and security measures.
  • Encourage additional purchases at checkout, including gift card sales.
  • Enroll customers in loyalty programs.
  • Build and nurture a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of current product offerings and styles available in-store and online.
  • Keep consistent communication with clients through a customer engagement book.

Operational Efficiency:
  • Assist in replenishment tasks to ensure the store remains well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Support order fulfillment processes.
  • Contribute to visual merchandising efforts, including floor layouts, window displays, and signage as directed.
  • Help maintain store cleanliness and organization.

Team Collaboration and Development:
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment for problem-solving.
  • Actively seek opportunities for personal growth and welcome constructive feedback.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail or sales experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to technology utilized by the company.
  • Excellent organizational skills and capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication with customers, team members, and Management.
  • Regular attendance is crucial for meeting company objectives; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift).
  • Regular climbing activities (34%-66% of the shift).
