Key Responsibilities
  • Follow General Work Requirements in Factory, Shop, and Hanger settings.
  • Adhere to environmental health and safety policies, participating in 5-S activities to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Diagnose, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft to meet customer standards.
  • Execute the removal and installation of aircraft components as necessary.
  • Fabricate and modify structural components on aircraft parts.
  • Conduct minor structural repairs on composite materials, whether attached or detached.
  • Assist in hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures.
  • Support complex structural repairs, both on and off the aircraft.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with relevant manuals and regulations.
  • Operate ground support equipment as required.
  • Assist with the repair of aircraft components.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations as needed.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural sheet metal repair or a similar field.
  • Completion of a Sheet Metal A/C Technician program or equivalent education.
  • Proficient in interpreting mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Possession of an A Certification, A & P Certificate, or Repairman Certificate (Commercial Only).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, regarding aircraft status.
  • Ownership of a basic set of hand tools and ability to manage tool inventory.
  • Capability to obtain necessary Ground Support Equipment Qualifications.
  • Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (if applicable).
  • Basic computer skills.
