Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the General Work Requirements for Factory, Shop, and Hanger positions.
  • Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures, actively participating in 5-S activities.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain customer aircraft.
  • Remove and install aircraft components as necessary.
  • Fabricate and modify structural components on aircraft parts.
  • Perform minor structural repairs on composite components, whether attached or detached.
  • Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures.
  • Support complex structural repairs on or off the aircraft.
  • Document work performed in accordance with relevant manuals and regulations.
  • Operate ground support equipment as required.
  • Assist with aircraft component repairs.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical removals and installations as needed.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural sheet metal repair or a similar field.
  • Completion of a Sheet Metal A/C Tech school or equivalent training.
  • Proficient in interpreting mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Possession of an A Certification, A & P Certificate, or Repairman Certificate (Commercial Only).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, regarding individual and aircraft status.
  • Ownership of a basic set of hand tools and ability to manage tool inventory.
  • Must acquire appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
  • Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable.
  • Basic computer skills.
