Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be expected to:
  • Act as a recognized technical authority in structural engineering, addressing complex project challenges.
  • Plan and oversee projects or design initiatives that significantly influence major company programs.
  • Organize and supervise the work of a medium to large team of professionals and technicians.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff members.
  • Prepare comprehensive Contract Documents (plans and specifications) that are feasible and meet client standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering related to building and/or industrial structure design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, REVIT, RAM, STAAD, ETABS, SAFE, or similar analytical software utilizing finite element analysis.
  • Experience in design calculations and layouts.
  • Ability to design and detail in various materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Understanding of gravity and lateral analysis.
  • Prior experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
  • A commitment to actively participate in our employee-owned culture.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
  • Preference for local candidates.
  • Experience with REVIT modeling.
