Job Summary

The Chief Human Resources Officer is a key member of the Executive Team responsible for leading the development and implementation of the organization's human resources strategy, policies, and practices to support the mission and goals of Child & Family Services, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of HR strategy, operations, policies, and programs
  • Drive execution of business strategies through impactful HR programs, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance and talent management, succession planning, employee training and development, and change management initiatives
  • Oversee workplace investigations and provide guidance to leaders to ensure employee relations issues are handled fairly and consistently
  • Lead development and interpretation of HR policies and procedures to ensure all employees are treated fairly, respectfully, and in an equitable manner
  • Partner with legal counsel when necessary
  • Manage formal salary structures and annual salary planning program to ensure equitable and consistent compensation practices
  • Be fiscally responsible in managing the HR budget and expenses
  • Forecast future HR needs and identify potential risks and opportunities for development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP certification highly desirable
  • A minimum of 7 years in a mid-senior level HR leadership role with extensive HR generalist competencies
  • Contemporary knowledge of HR best practices with the ability to identify and develop best practices and implement them within the culture
  • Demonstrated experience as a consultative leader, influencer, and change agent with a history of successfully managing multiple projects, competing priorities, and complex HR issues in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
