POSITION OVERVIEW:

The firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Project Engineer to enhance their Special Projects Building Division. This role will be based in California and is ideal for candidates with a background in managing diverse commercial projects, including renovations, tenant improvements, and other specialized construction initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected Project Engineer will report to senior management and will have the opportunity to learn from experienced leaders within the organization. Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Overseeing the pre-planning and conceptual phases of projects.
  • Developing and managing project schedules.
  • Communicating timelines to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Assisting in budget management to achieve financial objectives.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and specifications are provided to subcontractors.
  • Coordinating project records and ensuring proper transmission to clients upon project completion.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and timely reporting to the accounting team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Construction Project Engineer with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience in managing various types of commercial projects is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
