Job Responsibilities:

This announcement serves as an ongoing opportunity for current employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs to be considered for Nurse Practitioner vacancies as they arise.

As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, you will uphold professional standards to assess self, programs, and service activities. You will stay informed about current methodologies, trends, and professional matters, employing collaborative processes to identify, analyze, and resolve care challenges.

  • Engage in Patient Safety initiatives that lead to enhanced outcomes.
  • Develop educational strategies to adapt to evolving program or service demands.
  • Mentor colleagues on patient safety protocols and standards.
  • Promote and support client self-determination.
  • Act as a resource for clients and staff regarding ethical dilemmas.
  • Participate in ethics consultations.
  • Collaborate in research initiatives aimed at improving care.
  • Assess resource utilization and safety concerns, taking appropriate measures.

Requirements:

Basic Requirements:

Additional Information:

Annual leave accrues at a rate of 8 hours for each full biweekly pay period.
