About This Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at the Alief Independent School District. As a key member of our staff, you will provide critical support to our administrative supervisors, allowing them to focus on educational administration.

Key Responsibilities:

You will provide a range of clerical and administrative support services, including:

  • Clerical Support: Transcribe and type correspondence, reports, notices, recommendations, etc.; obtain, gather, and organize data; maintain filing systems; process incoming correspondence; receive visitors; manage area; order supplies; facilitate vendor communications; collect, sort, and deliver mail; maintain attendance and budgetary records; assist personnel with initiatives and meetings; and communicate effectively.
  • Other Duties: Maintain confidentiality; follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures; maintain technology competence; implement alternative methods of instruction as needed; and perform other duties assigned.

What We Offer:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $31,612 to $45,014, based on previous experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements:

  • Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED; Associate's Degree or 48 semester hours of higher education coursework; or pass a district test.
  • Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of school district organization, operations, and administrative policies; excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs; ability to multitask complex administrative activities; two years of post-secondary training or five years of job experience as a secretary.
