LPN/RN - FT Health Center 3-11p

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled LPN/RN to join our team at The Cypress of Charlotte. As a healthcare provider, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting resident information.
  • Delegate and supervise the care provided by Quality-of-Life Specialists/Resident Assistants.
  • Make rounds, receive and give report at shift change, and count and sign off on narcotics.
  • Pass medications, document on Medication Administration Record (MAR), and notify the Director of Nursing of any incomplete documentation.
  • Apply treatments, lotions, dressings, etc. as needed, documenting in treatment record.
  • Document on residents per protocol, notify family and physicians of change in resident condition, and monitor dining room during meals.
  • Replenish supplies for the medicine cart, medicine room, and resident rooms, and order through central supply personnel as needed.
Requirements:
  • Valid NC or compact state LPN/RN license with no substantial findings of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
  • Minimum of 3 months' experience as a LPN/RN, preferably with elderly care.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
  • Ability to observe changes in resident's condition and act accordingly.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding, patience, tact, and courtesy in dealing with employees, residents, family, visitors, and volunteers.
  • Ability to supervise staff and maintain good working relationships among personnel.
  • Ability to cooperate with other health professionals and coordinate efforts toward maximum resident care.
  • Ability to recognize problems, make decisions, and solve problems.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in emergency situations.
