LPN Job Summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering quality care to patients, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct wound care and dressing/bandaging as needed.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of teaching plans to promote health education and patient empowerment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Possesses an active CPR certification.
  • Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, night shift position with shift differentials available.

2nd shift (3p-11p): $3/hour shift differential.

3rd shift (11p-7a): $4/hour shift differential.

Weekend shift (Sat 12a-Mon 12a): $4/hour shift differential.
