Industrial Automation Specialist

Card-Monroe Automation is a world-class leader in custom industrial automation and machine design. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality automation solutions to our customers, and we are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust mechanical systems for complex turn-key automation cells and systems. You will work closely with our team to conceptualize, develop, and implement innovative solutions that meet our customers' requirements and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing custom machines and automated turnkey systems using SolidWorks
- Collaborating with other engineering functions to gather and document design requirements and specifications
- Verifying that mechanical designs meet all functional requirements and specifications
- Calculating structural strength, gearmotors, electrical and pneumatic actuators sizing requirements
- Maintaining project scope to prevent scope and budget creep
- Applying Design for Manufacturing methodology to design concepts
- Performing design reviews across all disciplines and customers as required
We estimate the salary for this role to be around $140,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience.
