Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Manager to join our team at Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Fund Development Department by maintaining the Raiser's Edge donor database, ensuring accurate and timely gift processing and acknowledgement, and providing administrative support as directed by the Director of Philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities- Gift Processing, Reporting, and Database Management:
- Record Keeping and Data Entry:
- Handles gift processing for Fundraising CRM, including processing donor data from source documents, updating and editing donor database files, and performing other information-handling functions
- Produce and prepare timely and accurate donor acknowledgment letters, solicitation letters, and other sensitive correspondence
- Routinely review, update and maintain data records to ensure accuracy and data integrity
- Builds complex queries as needed to prepare reports for appeals, donor recognition, mailings and all other development office functions
- Campaign, Project, and Administrative Support:
- Responds promptly to and resolve revenue-related customer service inquiries from external and internal customers
- Develops the procedures and processes pledges/gifts for all campaigns (that is aligning with the accounting codes, appeal, year etc.)
- Leverage constituent data for the advancement of the organization's goals and exploring new opportunities for capturing information or more efficiently managing relationships
- Uses Fundraising CRM to find best prospects and donor research
- Create and maintain fund development online donation and event pages
- Meeting support - Prepares background information and does research for select donor meetings, assembles folders/materials for meetings, presentations and participation in events, and keeps materials up to date (pledge cards, signs, tablecloths, displays etc.)
- Manage the distribution & mailing of fund development materials including gift appeals, impact reports, invitations, and other mailings as requested by the Fund Development team.
- Motivated by the Girl Scout mission
- Available to work weekday office hours and occasional evenings and weekends (flexibility of two days working remotely)
- Apply coursework or experience in customer service, database management, and administrative excellence
- Critical degree of data entry accuracy
- High level of attention to detail
- Able to identify inefficient and ineffective processes and implement improvements
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team; well organized, focused and goal oriented, with a high level of initiative and energy, as well as problem solving skills.
- Self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Confidence and proficiency using Microsoft Office products and experience using a Customer Relationship Management system such as Raiser's Edge
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate information verbally confidently and clearly, and in writing that are effective with a diverse range of audiences including board members, volunteers, staff, donors, executives, potential funding partners and all constituencies.
