Job Summary

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Safety Inspector - Air Carrier Maintenance to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of air carrier maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of safety regulations and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Develop and implement standards, programs, and procedures for FAA field personnel and the public governing all matters related to air carrier maintenance safety issues.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to field offices and other organizations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct special projects and assignments as directed by the Branch Manager.
  • Participate in national and international working groups and panels to resolve complex and controversial problems related to air carrier maintenance safety.
Requirements
  • Must have a valid second-class medical certificate in accordance with FAA regulations.
  • Must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience in air carrier maintenance, including experience in certificate management of 14 CFR part 145 Repair Stations.
  • Must have a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to air carrier maintenance.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
