This is a union position.

HealthRIGHT 360 is a leading provider of healthcare services, operating across 13 different counties in California. Our organization offers a comprehensive range of medical and behavioral health services to vulnerable populations, including primary care, mental health services, detox, substance use disorder treatment, and transitional services for the criminal justice population.

The Client Safety Navigator will play a critical role in supporting clients enrolled in our interim programs funded by the Department of Health Services (DHS) and Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC), as well as clients residing in permanent housing contracts, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct rounds during shifts to ensure units are clean and clients are safe.
  • Reinforce program procedures and protocols.
  • Supervise clients and children during all assigned shifts.
  • Oversee clients' independent living skills, including cooking, cleaning, meal planning, and shopping.
  • Provide follow-up to staff to ensure clients are moving toward goals as per service support plan.
  • Support clients when dealing with interpersonal conflicts with others.
  • Conduct/participate in House Meetings to promote a safe and amicable environment in the units.
  • Encourage clients to be engaged in program activities and demands.
  • Engage in consultation with Housing Supervisor as needed.
  • Monitor medication and ensure proper storage and administration.
  • Create, complete, review, and file SAM-L sheets.
  • Verify, refill, review, and file Sign-In Sheets and Visitor Logs.
  • Ensure office is kept clean and organized, and bathroom is properly stocked with supplies.
  • Control inventory for program, including linens, food, office items, and other essential supplies.
  • Document client records and upload medical records in Welligent.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years' experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting preferred.
  • Basic understanding of child development, child abuse, substance abuse, and self-sufficiency issues.
  • Experience working with substance abusers, chronically homeless, and/or reentry populations.
  • Experience with efficient and effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of and experience providing trauma-informed care, housing first principles, and harm reduction services.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.

Background Clearance

  • Must not be on active parole or probation for at least two years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain satisfactory background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDCR live scan clearance.
  • Must be able to pass health screening and TB test requirements.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster shot. Medical or religious exemptions not available.
