Position Overview

The Customer Experience Associate is tasked with fostering a welcoming atmosphere for members by delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, potential members, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome members, potential members, and visitors, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager when necessary.
  • Manage all front desk operations, including:
    • Answering phone calls in a courteous manner and assisting callers with various inquiries.
    • Checking members into the system.
    • Registering new members.
    • Conducting tours for prospective members.
    • Facilitating necessary updates to member accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility:
    • Cleaning and sanitizing all exercise equipment and spa amenities.
    • Ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked, and free of clutter by adhering to the routine cleaning schedule.
    • Conducting thorough inspections of all areas to promptly address safety and cleanliness issues.
Qualifications
  • Preferred background in customer service.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • A genuine interest in fitness and health.
  • Positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities; capable of engaging positively and professionally with members and colleagues, exceeding their expectations.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Regular verbal communication in person or over the phone.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals during shifts.
  • Ability to move in various positions, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting to complete tasks.
