Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are in search of a skilled technician to oversee the upkeep of our facilities, machinery, and vehicles. A valid forklift operation skill is essential. Candidates should possess a positive attitude, a proactive work ethic, reliable attendance, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct general maintenance across all company properties and vehicles by fulfilling work orders, maintenance requests, and various tasks assigned by the Property Maintenance Manager.

  • Support maintenance inspections, operations, and repairs.
  • Address all recurring maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Assist with labor, supply procurement, and general errands as needed.
  • Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on forklifts.
  • Demonstrate the physical capability to execute necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot forklift issues, including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems, while identifying safety concerns and potential malfunctions.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles effectively.
  • Possess a solid understanding of brake systems and tire/wheel replacements.
  • Work on LP, gas, and electric-powered equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas as required.
  • Ensure that work methods and areas comply with safety standards.
  • Keep a well-organized and tidy workspace.
  • Complete accurate service documentation and logs for preventative maintenance activities.
  • Bring three or more years of experience in a related field, particularly in maintaining various lift trucks, including Toyota, Clark, and Yale models with lift capacities up to 12,000 lbs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.

General Requirements:

· Must demonstrate teamwork and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility for overtime and varied hours is necessary.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish are required for effective interaction with plant leadership.

· Must be physically agile to navigate around large machinery and possess the stamina to endure long shifts in a hot, dusty environment.

· A valid driver’s license is mandatory.

· Exceptional welding and fabrication skills are essential.

· Basic understanding of HVAC systems is preferred.

· Knowledge of automotive systems is advantageous.

· Commitment to safety and adherence to company regulations is crucial.
