Senior Tax Manager Opportunity

Tandym Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will play a critical role in assisting with the preparation and review of global income tax provision and annual effective tax rate calculations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of internal management reporting packages, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Identify and manage potential tax exposures, maintaining an inventory of uncertain tax reserves in accordance with IAS12.
  • Monitor income tax payable accounts and reconcile on a quarterly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Model effective tax rate implications of proposed domestic and international tax laws, potential tax planning initiatives, and other various one-time transactions.
  • Collaborate with external compliance engagement teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of international and US income tax returns.
  • Review return-to-provision calculations and incorporate the impact of return filings into the company's tax provision.
  • Prepare other global tax regulatory filings as needed.
  • Support team members in modeling the tax consequences of various transactions.
  • Contribute to data gathering and scenario modeling for US federal income tax audits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Certified Public Accountant.
  • 5+ years' experience with a Big 4, regional accounting firm, or corporate tax department.
  • Experience across tax disciplines, including income tax accounting (ASC 740 and IAS12), income tax compliance, and general corporate tax principles.
  • Strong computer skills and functionality with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Ability to manage and lead projects and processes.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead employees and/or outside consultants.
Desired Skills:
  • Post-graduate study in Taxation.
  • Willingness and aptitude for learning new tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of SAP, OneSource Tax Provision, and/or Longview Tax.
