Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead multiple projects and train support staff.

A Project Manager is responsible for the project management, leadership, profitability, and client management for the project design team, including:

  • Financial performance, preparation of technical proposals and invoices, monitoring of project budgets, staff supervision, scheduling of key projects, and responsibility for the design tasks associated with civil engineering projects.
  • Overseeing the technical accuracy, use of standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various plans, reports, and design documents.
  • Managing and/or reviewing the development of design tasks, such as conceptual planning, detailed grading, and drainage designs associated with civil engineering construction projects to ensure value engineering is achieved.
  • Responsible for quality control for all project documents.
  • Identifying problems, evaluating alternatives, and recommending solutions to peers and management.
  • Developing project schedules and construction timelines.
  • Managing multiple projects and workload with competing deadlines.
  • Preparing proposal scopes, project schedules, and change orders, as required.
  • Performing financial management, including invoice preparation, accounts receivable, and project profitability.
  • Able to work independently on multiple projects, as well as lead other engineers in a team environment.
  • Responsible for client management, including status updates and project-specific discussions.
  • Mentoring junior staff, including technical training, as needed.
