About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at EDB. As a key member of our hybrid & multi-cloud management team, you will play a crucial role in designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Platform Technology: You will be responsible for designing and developing platform technology for our next generation management software.
  • Cloud Environment Scaling: You will leverage cloud environments to scale our development and test systems.
  • Performance and Usability Monitoring: You will monitor and improve the performance and usability of existing tools and environments.
  • Collaboration and Standardization: You will collaborate with engineers throughout EDB to ensure we are using standard methodologies to build scalable, secure, and operationally sound tools and systems.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: You will have 3-5 years of experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, OpenShift.
  • Cloud Provider Experience: You will have 3-5 years of experience with major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Terraform Experience: You will have 3-5 years of experience with Terraform.
  • Architecture Knowledge: You will have familiarity with microservice, distributed, and event-driven architectures.
  • Linux/UNIX Experience: You will have a solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and be comfortable working in a command line-centric environment.
  • IaC Experience: You will have experience developing, automating, implementing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Teamwork and Communication: You will be able to work independently and as part of a distributed international team.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You will have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: You will have a calm and methodical approach with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NIST SSDF Requirements: You will have experience with NIST SSDF requirements.
  • Audited Environments: You will have built and operated systems in audited environments (e.g., SOC2, PCI, FedRAMP).
  • SDLC Process Automation: You will have proficiency in automating and optimizing SDLC processes.
  • Unix Systems and Networking: You will have in-depth knowledge of Unix systems and networking technologies.
  • Virtualization Technologies: You will have in-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies.
  • You Build It, You Own It Culture: You will have experience working within a 'you build it, you own it' culture.
