Job Summary

The Nurse Residency Program at HCA Healthcare provides a comprehensive framework for new graduate nurses to transition into professional practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality patient-centered care in accordance with established nursing models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitoring patient response and notifying providers as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating their needs.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
  • No previous experience required.
