Program Management Communication Specialist

Job Overview
Position Title: Program Management Communication Coordinator
Work Arrangement: This role operates in a hybrid model, combining remote work with office attendance. Candidates should ideally reside within a 50-mile radius of an Elevance Health PulsePoint office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between National Government Services, Inc. (NGS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Manage the Contract Performance Evaluation (CPE) process and inform relevant NGS departments regarding government audits and reviews.
- Facilitate internal notifications and coordinate CMS site evaluations.
- Support designated contracts in tracking and ensuring timely submission of CMS deliverables.
- Oversee inquiries and notifications from CMS and other governmental bodies, ensuring accurate and prompt responses.
- Coordinate questions from NGS to CMS, including clarifications on program directives and necessary disclosures.
- Monitor and ensure the successful completion of contract obligations.
- Develop and maintain internal contact directories for PMO-related communications.
- Conduct necessary reporting to confirm that Medicare contracts are meeting performance standards set by CMS and PMO management.
- Supervise document control processes, including the initiation, development, and annual review of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all critical functions within the unit. Identify and suggest continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
- Participate in special projects that support the NGS Program Management Office.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Medicare, including at least 2 years in a communications role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidates must meet residency requirements as specified by CMS for foreign national applicants.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Medicare operations is highly desirable.
- Experience in evaluating information and requests to determine suitable responses is preferred.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Joint Operating Agreements (JOA) is advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously with strong problem-solving capabilities is preferred.
